JoCo Cares for the Homeless:

We provide weekly check-ins to our homeless neighbors. We can offer necessities, in limited supply as needed; from food to tents and tarps.

We offer a homeless resource center on Wednesdays from 9 am - 3 pm for our homeless community to receive help applying for jobs, ID cards, low income housing etc. We offer a severe weather shelter when it is unsafe to be outside. Our hotline number is (919)912-9854 Transitions This is a transitional housing program for female survivors of domestic violence and coercive control, and their children, to find rest and healing. We help connect survivors to resources and offer long term housing as they work to become independent. There is a multi step application process.

Johnston Community College has awarded associate degrees, certificates, and diplomas since 1969 to students pursuing college transfer, occupational, technical, and continuing education opportunities.

A member of the North Carolina Community College System, JCC serves more than 13,000 students annually in its credit and non-credit programs.

JCC is located 30 miles east of Raleigh, in Smithfield, near the junction of I-95 and US 70. The 175-acre main campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, picturesque pines, colorful azaleas and scenic ponds and offers some 35 occupational programs of study as well as numerous continuing education courses.
