MST Trash Clean Up Workday- November 2nd at Howell Woods

Come help clean up part of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail along Devil's Racetrack Road by Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center!

The Friends of Johnston County Parks (Segment 11 MST task force)and the MST Trashy Ladies from the Falls Lake/Segment 10 MST task force have teamed up to clean a much-needed and often overlooked section.

DETAILS

WHERE/WHEN: The event will take place on November 2nd and starts at 9:30 AM at Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center (6601 Devil's Racetrack Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524) in Four Oaks. We plan to work until 12 PM, walking up one side of the road and back to the parking lot on the other side. The clean-up will occur along the roadside going north from the parking lot by the visitor center, so safety is our biggest priority with volunteers.

WHAT TO BRING: Water bottle, closed-toe shoes, and long pants. Be mindful of the weather before you come. We will provide neon vests and gloves to ensure motorists are aware of us. We will also provide trash bags and grabbers.
