2025 PARTF Grant - Public Meeting
Johnston County Parks and Open Space will host a public meeting to share details about the site design for the Johnston County Regional Park - Phase 2. The main purpose of this public meeting is to gain support for the 2025 Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) grant funding opportunity. Johnston County staff is working to complete the application and this public meeting is one of the final steps to ensure all possible points are gathered. The funding will be used towards Phase 2 of the master plan/site design and supports a picnic shelter, 3 miles of the improved trail system, a dog park, and 2 multi-purpose athletic fields. Phase 1 of the county park is underway to start construction in the summer of 2025, with engineering in the process now.
The public meeting will take place at the Cleveland Fire Department - Station 1 on February 13th, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The address for the fire station is 9039 Cleveland Road, Clayton, NC 27520. Residents from around the county are encouraged to view the upcoming plans and provide support for the county department acquiring funding via PARTF.
