Communicable Diseases (Epidemiology Services)

Communicable Disease services are provided to reduce illness, spread of illness, and death. This is achieved through epidemiological techniques including anticipation, education, investigation and surveillance. Statistical information is gathered on each communicable disease case to track trends, curb outbreaks and insure proper follow up is completed. This information is then sent to the State Health Department for statistical analysis.
