Energy Assistance Programs

The Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) is a year-round program which runs July 1st through June 30th each year (or until funds are exhausted) statewide. CIP provides assistance to low-income families experiencing or in danger of heating or cooling household emergencies where there is a life-threatening or health-related emergency and timely, sufficient, or appropriate assistance is not available from any other source. All payments are made directly to the vendor. Energy bill/account information, current income/pay, and identification are required.

Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) provides a one-time heating supplement directly to a vendor to help eligible low-income households pay their heating bills. Applications are taken from December 1st through March 31st (or until funds are exhausted) annually statewide.
